Lab Assistant Jobs description
The lab assistant performs school laboratory related tasks like preparing research supplies, setting up the lab equipment like beakers, test tubes and other apparatus for experiments. The lab assistant is responsible of cleaning up the lab after the students have done their experiments. The lab assistant should also prepare and store solutions necessary for experiment and preserve them in different temperatures and conditions. He also works in areas of specimen procurement, specimen processing and some basic lab testing. The lab assistant records testing information and files laboratory reports related to inventory and lab office supplies.Qualifications and experience required for a lab assistant:
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous experience in phlebotomy of at least one or more years and knowledge of medical terminology required preferred.
- Computer data entry experience highly desirable.
