This role is a member of the Immuno-Oncology Medical Team, accountable for ensuring effective planning, development and implementation of medical strategy for the lifecycle of the product. The individual will work closely with the Medical Launch Team who is accountable for driving launch excellence across the US Medical Oncology organization.

Critical Responsibilities include:

Act as a disease state and therapeutic expert both internally and externally

Critically review Investigator-sponsored research (ISR) proposals to ensure strategic alignment and represent USMO Lung throughout the review process

Manage ongoing ISR book of work, engaging with investigators and internal stakeholders to ensure studies stay on track and on strategy

Lead launch activities for upcoming approvals in the thoracic cancer space

Develop and maintain strong relationships with external thought leaders and investigators

Demonstrate forward thinking by understanding emerging trends, anticipate future obstacles, risks, and business opportunities, and proactively create strategies, tactics, and contingency plans

Qualifications

Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)

Prior pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs or clinical research is desirable

Familiarity with all phases of oncology drug development is desirable, including clinical development, regulatory and life cycle management

Therapeutic area & clinical expertise is desirable

Experience in leading complex projects and diverse, high performing teams

Strong interpersonal skills to navigate complex situations and build alignment with key stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment

Clear and effective verbal & written communication skills
