AdaQuest is a premier provider of localization and staffing solutions. We are located in Bellevue, Washington and have been providing leading customers dynamic solutions to meet their technology and human resources needs in the Globalization and Staffing area since 2001. We are currently hiring A Russian Localization Editor. The successful applicant will work with our client, one of the biggest companies in the Puget Sound area.
The successful candidate will be self-directed, yet equally comfortable contributing within a global team environment. Strong interpersonal skills, time management, and attention to detail are required. You must have demonstrated experience in the technology field, and a proven background in Russian localization and technical editing.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Owning linguistic quality for Russian products and services
- Editing and translating directly in localization tools
- Creating and maintaining glossaries, style guides, and translation memories
- Working with localization PMs, localization vendors and quality assurance engineers to drive linguistic, terminology, and style issues to resolution
- Engaging with corporate and Russian partner teams to understand and address Russian localization needs
- Planning and executing linguistic quality assurance tasks
Basic Qualifications:
- Native level fluency in Russian
- 5 years of demonstrated English to Russian software localization and editing experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Russian
- Demonstrated technical experience with localization and terminology platforms and tools (Catalyst, WordServer)
- Strong problem-solving, project management skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to understand complex applications, and system concepts
- Interest in and flexibility to work and learn in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, multitask, and deliver high quality results under tight timelines
- Degree in linguistics, translation, technical communications and/or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Quality Assurance experience a plus
- Knowledge of and affinity with Amazon's products and services
- Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle
- Degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
