Job Details:

SUMMARY: Responsibilities will vary from performing one procedure or work instruction to several chemistry work instructions or quality system procedures in a food safety laboratory. Precision and accuracy in performance of the work instructions and data collection is essential; must be able to maintain ISO records for process control and comply with quality system and safety requirements. Initial proficiency testing must be passing, and competency will be verified at least annually thereafter. Team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency and growth after training; growth will include cross-training on assigned work instructions/tasks. Prepare samples for analysis through gravimetric methods and operate entry level instrumentation. Work under oversight of management and skilled team members; other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer college level courses or degree in Biology Microbiology Chemistry Food Science and or Physical Sciences.

Experience and or Expertise: Prefer laboratory experience. Computer Skills: General knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office Applications.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
