Job Description:

The primary focus of the Laboratory Technician role will be to support day to day lab operations and to maintain and perform the daily start up and cleaning of general laboratory equipment and instruments.Primary Responsibilities

Regular calibration and/or maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly) of lab equipment supporting GMP operations, including biosafety cabinets, biochemical analyzers, and incubators Maintain water baths Monitor and maintain cold storage equipment General maintenance of the Analytical and Process Development laboratories (cleaning, stocking, ordering, etc.) Documentation of calibration and equipment maintenance activities Author equipment, lab and inventory maintenance protocols

Required Qualifications

0-3 years of experience with equipment maintenance, preparation of stock solutions, and laboratory inventory

Successful track record of prioritizing work across multiple projects in a fast pace, dynamic environment

Availability to work evenings and weekends

Flexibility

Detail oriented team player with effective planning, organization and execution skills

Ability to anticipate and mitigate challenges

Basic computer skills. Word, Excel, Outlook

Mechanically inclined

Preferred Education Requirements

Associate Degree in Biotechnology, Laboratory Management or Laboratory Technology or applicable experience.

Proposed Tasks:

Troubleshoot equipment issues

Equipment installation and start up

Equipment maintenance including regular calibration, general upkeep, cleaning, repairs and/or arrangement for maintenance and repairs

Organizing and cleaning lab work area
