Environmental Science Jobs
The professionals in the aforesaid position function with an objective to protect the environment. An environmental science professional studies waste management and the materials that are thrown into the environment by different sources. He/she also studies the level of pollution in air, water and land. An environmental science professional analyses the data collected, prepares the reports and interprets them in order to determine the ways in which the environment and the inhabitants are affected by the pollutants. He/she also suggests measures and provides remedial solutions to prevent and cure the damage.
An environmental science professional is responsible for monitoring factories and other sources that emit hazardous waste material and ensuring that they function in compliance with the pollution laws.
A bachelor’s degree of Science in Earth Science or Environmental Science is required for this job. An environmental science professional should possess the knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations, groundwater sampling, hydro geological assessments, geological formations and soil delineation. Along with this, the candidate should have very good communication skills; both written and verbal in order to form accurate and well made reports for submission.
