Clinical Research Jobs
Clinical research associates are primarily responsible for monitoring investigator-sponsored clinical studies, from study initiation to the final monitoring visits.
The specific responsibilities of a clinical research associate include managing study budgets, reviewing CRFs, communicating with the regulatory authorities such as the FDA, and writing the study protocols.
Candidates applying for the position a clinical research associate must have at least a bachelor's degree in healthcare, life sciences, or related science. Further, they may have to show proof of their CRA certification for some jobs.
Clinical research associates are expected to have excellent writing skills and substantial subject knowledge in order to write protocols and manuals of operations in the field of drug abuse.
Prior experience in monitoring pharmaceutical clinical trials with a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company, or a contract research organization is a definite plus for a clinical research position and so is the willingness to travel to different clinical sites for site visits.
