To manage the supply chain to and from the CPO for Pharma finished products including maintenance of high customer service levels, management of Finished Product inventory, management of related supply chain costs and the compliance with Novartis and local GMP standards for the handling, distribution and storage of products in the supply chain. Drives and supports the development and implementation of robust processes to enable the smooth and effective functioning of the whole supply chain.
Major Accountabilities
•Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and customer service levels
•Develop and maintain with the CPO Management Team effective distribution channel partners to ensure products reach the end-users in a compliant and effective manner.
•Ensure products are stored, handled and distributed according to Novartis and local GMP standards by following local and Global policies and by meeting local regulatory requirements.
•To manage supply chain related costs, ensuring best practices are followed and competitive rates and productivity are maintained. To plan and manage costs following Company guidelines.
•To manage inventories, ensuring best practices are followed and appropriate trade-offs are made in setting safety stock levels. To plan and manage inventories following Company guidelines.
•To develop and maintain processes in the CPO for effective supply chain management. This will include S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, collaborative planning, order fulfilment, launch / change processes. Ensure processes are appropriately documented, followed and periodically reviewed. Apply and align supply parameter policies within the CPO based on Company and local policies.
•To develop and motivate staff & colleagues in the performance of supply chain tasks to meet local, regional and global objectives.
•Communicate supply chain performance, tactics, strategy, objectives, targets and initiatives effectively within the organisation to ensure the motivation and alignment of supply chain management and other functions in the achievement of Company and functional objectives
•Monitor, control, trend, report and benchmark key performance measures.
•Ensure newcomers to the organisation are aware / trained in appropriate processes, competent to use the tools provided and continually developed.
•Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key CPO management. Support CPO in the development of the business and protection of the Company’s assets and reputation.
•Share best practices across the Region. Adopt proven practices and technologies developed elsewhere in organisation. Maintain active network within organisation.
•Monitor competitor and distribution channel business activity in the countries; anticipate threats and opportunities, and share knowledge & insights as appropriate.
•Product allocation and order management in the trade
•Develop and maintain own skills sets, and of department. Support competence and career development (including on the job), succession planning and other HR related activities.
•Maintain high standards of data integrity and support effective functioning of information systems.
•Drive Country Warehousing and Distribution Projects (Site Decisions, Service Provider evaluation / Performance monitoring and management, Productivity improvements)
•W&D budget Planning and Control

Minimum requirements
Education: University degree in Business Admin or Science (Engineering or related fields)

Languages:Local language and English. Other languages helpful

Experience:Materials Management/Logistics, Planning, SAP

Business Acumen:
Good understanding of the Pharma industry, business and operations

Supply Chain Management:
Mastery of tools, processes / procedures such as: ABC segmentation, product management / supply, inventory control

Manufacturing knowledge:
Basic manufacturing processes and procedures including products and dosage forms

Coaching/People skills:
Strong people orientation, capable of developing & managing relationships with internal & external stakeholders and influencing in a cross-functional environment
