Manager of Technical Operations
This is technical services work leading the development and maintenance of highly complex computer networks. Manages a team of technicians, administrators or analysts responsible for the organizations server and desktop infrastructure. Employees in this classification are competent to work at the highest technical level in all phases of network design, implementation and maintenance. The most important aspects of this classification are leading implementation of designs into effective technical solutions and the correction of highly complex network problems. Leads the evaluation of existing infrastructure to determine upgrade roadmaps, schedules projects and resources, and monitors timelines.

… Reviews detailed design specifications for highly complex and large-scale systems in order to plan and facilitate the infrastructure platforms required.
… Manages assigned environments, responding to and resolving system problems in order to ensure systems are continuously available and function properly.
… Leads team in the implementation of enterprise class network environments, office network environments, system utilities, and remote management tools in order to build, support and maintain highly functional computing environments.
… Leads the diagnoses and isolates complex network problems; formulates and implements effective solutions considering system capacity, limitations, time requirements, and desired results in order to resolve system problems and prevent reoccurrence.
… Reviews network usage and requirements in support of system development efforts in order to provide effective environments for development staff.
Manages enterprise wide projects and oversees the work of technical staff engaged in system design, development, and maintenance activities in order to provide project oversight, support, and coordination.

Expert knowledge of virtualization technologies.

Two (2) to Five (5) years or more of IT Leadership experience. Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
Two (2) year Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field combined with work experience can be substituted for Bachelors Degree.
