Quality Manager - Leaf River Cellulose - New Augusta, MS
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Minimum travel to address customer needs
Use statistical and quality tools to help meet or exceed quality goals
Manage the Quality Assurance System to ensure safe, accurate testing, and grading of product which meet or exceed customer’s expectations
Provide manufacturing Process Capability index performance data to identify and communicate improvement areas.
Lead machine and customer-related quality improvement trials
Provide timely resolutions to customer inquiries, feedback investigations, and corrective actions
Use the Quality Feedback System to communicate and reduce poor workmanship issues.
Oversee ISO Quality program
Market GP Cellulose Products in Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations
Adhere to all plant health, safety, and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures
Assist with trial mill cost reduction opportunities to minimize customer impact.
Support the business effort to benchmark existing products, commercialize new products, and drive continuous improvement
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science degree in a science related or technical discipline
Provide on-call Quality assistance to mill.
Willingness to work in industrial / manufacturing plant setting
Maintain strict adherence to safety rules, CBT training, and compliance regulations
Proficiency with MS Office products
PREFERRED:
A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis experience
ISO knowledge / background experience
