Lab Supervisor Jobs description
The lab supervisor plans, manages, and supervises the activities in a centralized laboratory. The lab supervisor primarily supervises the work of laboratory personnel engaged in performing laboratory technical procedures, including evaluation of technical lab problems. The lab supervisor also has to design appropriate work schedules and time-tables for subordinate employees and allocates work assignments to each of them. The lab supervisor has to ascertain the quality of the projects done in the laboratory and prepare a lab report. The lab supervisor should stay abreast of the latest scientific developments and incorporate them in the daily procedures.The lab supervisor job candidate should at least have a bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field. The job candidate should have 3 years' full time experience as a medical technologist in a clinical laboratory setting. He should have considerable knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology.
